Checkers pieces can jump over the enemy's pieces and capture them. A piece that is "not yet king" can only move one square diagonally to the upper left or upper right corner of an unoccupied square. To take a disc, the enemy disc must be on a square in the upper left or upper right corner of your own disc, and the corresponding upper left or upper right corner of that enemy disc must be free of discs. If a disc can eat a disc, then it must eat and may not move any other disc. A disc may be eaten in succession, i.e., if a disc has eaten an enemy disc, it may eat another enemy disc in its new position, and it must continue to do so until it can no longer do so. If there are two discs available at the same time, simply choose one to eat. When a disc reaches the opponent's bottom line, it becomes "king" and can move backwards. A piece cannot continue to eat immediately after it becomes king, it must wait until the next turn before it can move. If a player has no more pieces to move or all pieces are captured, he loses.
